Mr. Abdul Basit is serving as Board Member of PTPL since its inception. He is also the Chairman of Nomination Committee. He holds bachelor’s degree from FC College, Lahore. He is an entrepreneur and founder Chairman of Big Bird Group that was set up thirty (30) years ago. He actively participates in numerous initiatives for wellbeing of the society and business community. He is currently serving on the Boards of various public sector companies and other organizations including QATPL, PAMCO, TEVTA, Punjab Food Authority, and Punjab Halal Development Agency.

He also served as member of the Board of Governors at Sheikh Zayed Medical Complex, University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore, Pak Turk Education Foundation and Pak France Business Alliance. Previously, he served as Chairman Punjab Board of Investment & Trade (PBIT), President Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industries (LCCI), Chairman Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA) and Director Punjab Industrial Estate Development & Management Company (PIEDMC).
